The Josephine Ruiz-Scanlon Foundation Initiative was created in loving memory of Josephine Ruiz-Scanlon, whose life reflected kindness, resilience, faith, and a deep belief in the importance of education.
Through Willowmere, this initiative will support scholarship opportunities and future literacy-centered efforts for children and students.
The foundation will begin with one meaningful scholarship recipient, Jeremie Martinez, as the first step toward a larger mission
centered on hope, education, creativity, and opportunity for future generations.
Children Are Our Future Scholarship
The Children Are Our Future Scholarship is the first program under the Josephine Ruiz- Scanlon Foundation Initiative.
Created in her memory, this scholarship honors Josephine's legacy. Known to family and friends as "Jo" and lovingly called "Mama Jo" by many, she touched countless lives through her generosity, encouragement, and unwavering belief in helping others reach their full potential, leaving a legacy of love that continues to inspire future generations.
